The Payment Card Industry (PCI), responding to numerous data breaches and the resulting
media attention developed the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS). Originally established
by Visa and MasterCard, the standard was adopted by other payment card providers
including American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB. The PCI standard requires
you to test your data privacy safeguards on a quarterly and annual basis.

assessment services for compliance with the PCI standards. Acertigo is a PCI Qualified
Security Assessor Company [QSAC, PCI Approved Scan Vendor [ASV] and PCI Qualified
Payment Application Security Assessor [QPASA].
